Topic: The Career and Business Gamechanger
This month's TechWomen PowerBreakfast will feature Boston’s Startup Fairy Godmother, Bobbie Carlton of Carlton PR & Marketing, an award-winning marketing, public relations and social media professional, on what it takes to become a thought leader.
“Public speaking is an important skill worth developing – it’s a career and business gamechanger,” said Melissa Jurkoic, chair of the TechWomen Power Breakfast committee. “Bobbie speaks regularly on marketing, public speaking and women’s issues and we’re excited to hear her humorous approach and fiery ‘let’s make it happen’ drive that creates real-world results.”
The TechWomen Power Breakfast series is part of the Alliance's TechWomen|TechGirls initiative that builds on a strong community of women enthusiastic about technology and supporting efforts where girls are exploring STEM as a career or area of study. TechWomen|TechGirls holds programs for professional women to connect, collaborate and explore ideas around career development, technology initiatives and innovation. The initiative also deploys volunteers and mentors to support academic STEM initiatives and events for girls across New Hampshire.
"We are excited to offer a place for women in the technology fields to come together and create lasting meaningful relationships while learning from each other's successes," said Candice Benson of Benson Consulting and chair of the TechWomen|TechGirls Committee. "We have a lot of brilliant women in our community and we are thrilled to be able to celebrate and support them with our power breakfast series."
The breakfast series takes place on the second Wednesday of every month.
