BioMed|Tech - Industry Spotlight at Novocure

The BioMed|Tech Committee of the NH Tech Alliance cordially invites industry professionals to the 3^rd “BioMed|Tech Industry Spotlight” series, to be held at Novocure in Portsmouth on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Novocure is located at 195 Commerce Way in Portsmouth, NH.
 
Novocure is an oncology company pioneering a novel therapy for solid tumors called Tumor Treating Fields, or TTFields.  Since 2000, Novocure has grown into an international oncology company with nearly 600 employees and operations in the U.S., Europe and Asia. This event features Mike Ambrogi, Chief Operating Office at Novocure, and Justin Kelly, RN, BSN, Regional Vice President at Novocure. In addition, there will be many networking opportunities, and facility tours.

Mr. Ambrogi will tell the story of Novocure, where in 2000, founder Professor Yoram Palti sought to leverage his expertise in biophysics to develop a new way to treat cancer. This new approach would destroy tumor cells while sparing healthy tissue, thereby avoiding many of the life-altering side effects of existing cancer therapies.
 
Mr. Kelly will share a recent case study on the challenges of securing reimbursement for Novocure’s innovative treatment, and the crucial regulatory pathway considerations for success.
